Dear SBPOA Kayak Owner,
One of the benefits of your SBPOA membership is the opportunity to store your kayak at the west beach on one of our bulkhead racks at no additional charge.
Members in good standing who had a rack spot in the previous year and renew by April 1 will be given the same spot unless a change is requested and the new location is available. Kayak spots are limited and are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis to new or renewing members after that date.
Please keep boats locked at all times when not in use. Be sure that your boat is tagged with a sticker showing contact information (email SBPOA [email@example.com] if you need a sticker.) SBPOA will tag your boat showing your member ID. Be safe and wear a personal flotation device (PFD) whenever you use your boat.
The west-side racks on the west beach will be moved to a safer location every year by November 1 to prevent the rack damage experienced in recent years during the late fall and winter storms. All boats on those racks must be removed by November 1 so volunteers can move the racks. If you need assistance removing your boat, contact SBPOA at firstname.lastname@example.org in advance of that date.
If your boat is not removed by November 1, SBPOA reserves the right to remove and confiscate your boat for resale at the next Trash and Treasure sale.
