This membership is for individuals and households within Sound Beach. Membership may be shared by spouses, domestic partners, and adult family members living in the same household.
You do not have to be a Sound Beach resident to join SBPOA. Residents of surrounding communities are welcome to join SBPOA as Access Members . Access Membership includes beach access and discounted Clubhouse rentals. However, Access Members, like tenants in Sound Beach, cannot vote or join the Board of Directors.
New Regular and Access members receive a one-time $50.00 discount, provided they have not been members during the preceding two years.
Available to households with at least one U.S. Armed Forces veteran. Proof of service is required only once. Attach it to your online application, email it to Membership@SBPOA.org, or mail it to PO Box 213, Sound Beach, NY 11789.

Kayak, paddleboard and canoe rack spots are $25.00 each, with a limit of three spots per membership. All watercraft must display a current-year SBPOA sticker.
Replacement membership tags are sold in sets of five only. Individual tags are not available.
Membership is open to residents of Sound Beach, NY and surrounding communities.
Membership is for the fiscal year January 1st through December 31st of the current year, independent of date membership dues are paid.
Beach Guards cannot accept payment for memberships.
All memberships include 5 beach tags for the members of one immediate household.
Membership is non-refundable.
Yes! You may keep your previous season’s spot(s) if you followed the rack rules and submit your membership renewal, rack application and fees before April 1. Otherwise, spots are assigned based on availability.
Watercrafts stored on the racks at West Beach are allowed to be kept there from April 1st through October 1st.
